Pope Leo XIV – Audience of October 1, 2025 in St. Peter’s Square, the Vatican

In St. Peter's Square, Monsignor Angelo Spina, the Archbishop of Ancona-Osimo, led a delegation of over 100 members from the parish of Campocavallo together with Michela Glorio, the Mayor of Osimo, and Fernando R. Fischer, the Mayor Emeritus of the Argentine town of Armstrong, Osimo’s twin city since 1992. As always the Covo, placed at the foot of the parvis beneath the statue of St. Peter, stood out beautifully, attracting great interest from those attending the audience. Pope Leo XIV visited and blessed the Covo. He then stayed on talking to a small delegation and showed great interest in what he himself described as a “masterpiece”. Before the Apostolic Blessing, in his greetings to the thousands of faithful, the Holy Father Leo XIV said: “I extend a warm welcome to the Italian-speaking pilgrims. In particular, I greet the parishes of [...] and that of Campocavallo di Osimo with Archbishop Monsignor Angelo Spina.”
