St. John Paul II - Audience of 17th August 1983 in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican.

The Covo depicting the Sanctuary of Mount Senario, the cradle of the Order of the Servants of Mary, was accompanied by the parish priest, Father Luigi Ilari, and Franco Pirani to St. Peter's Square, placed on top of a van usually used for the delivery of new tractors. There was great excitement among those present for the Covo’s first time in St. Peter's Square. The Holy Father John Paul II had a long talk with Father Luigi Ilari and Father Antonio Bai to know about the Covo. He then blessed it and greeted the large delegation of parishioners present one by one.
